    Hi,

First of all, you’ve done a good job with your site and I’m impressed with the content. I am starting a site within a similar topic and was wondering if you would be keen to add us as a link on your site? In return, we will do the same for your site. Please contact me via email if that suits.

ur give me a lot of information about transfer of land title. i would like to know if the government give a 50percent discount as per our new budget that day.

    thank you.

    Hi Bahariah,

Yes our government is giving 50% off the transfer documentation fees as announced during the 2008 budget.

However, the 50% discount is only valid for houses bought in 2008 ie Sales and Purchase dated in 2008. Secondly, the propoerty would need to be less than RM250k and not a single cent more.

Thank you for visiting our site.

    Hi Ripudiman

The cost of property varies from state to state.

On Penang Island alone, a modest 700sq ft apartment will set you back from RM150,000 onwards depending on location and facilities provided.

A landed property near the souther side of the island, 2 1/2 storey terrace will set you back by RM550,000.

While in Balik Pulau, a 2 storey terrace is within the RM400k region.

It all depends on the location.

    Regards

    Hi Michael,

For apartments, you will be given strata titles for your units. So the transfer may actually be referring to the transfer of the strata title from the developer to you. Note though, without individual strata titles, residents are unable to set up their own management committees to manage the apartments. Hence you;re left at the mercy of the management committee put in place by the developer.

I am unsure of the deposit, as different apartments have different requirements.

I hope this answer your questions.
